The photo decides the result, so it is worth thirty seconds of thought.
- Close beats wide. Faces should fill most of the frame.
- Bright beats dark. A daylight photo projects far more clearly than a dim one.
- One or two people beats a crowd. Six faces become six smudges.
- Sharp beats soft. If it looks blurry on your phone, it will look blurry on the wall.

How to see the projection
Turn the lights off. Hold a phone flashlight directly behind the heart, pointed at a wall about an arm's length away. Move it slowly until the image sharpens. Awkward for a few seconds the first time, instant every time after.
